Indian Air Force has released the official notification for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2026. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply online from 20th May. Application Process Official Website afcat.cdac.in But it will be completed.
Educational qualification
➤ Ground Duty (Technical Branch)
- Degree in Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) with at least 60% marks.
➤ Flying Branch
- Minimum 50% marks in 12th class (Physics and Maths compulsory), or
- Three year graduation with 60% marks, or
- BE/B.Tech degree with 60% marks.
age limit
- Age will be calculated as on 01 July 2027.
- The age limit for ground duty (technical/non-technical) is 20 to 26 years.
application fee
- No fee will be charged from the candidates applying through NCC Special Entry and GATE.
- The fee for all other candidates is Rs 550.

- Flying Officer: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month
- Flight Lieutenant: ₹61,300 – ₹1,93,900 per month
- Squadron Leader: ₹69,400 – ₹2,07,200 per month
- Wing Commander: ₹1,21,200 – ₹2,12,400 per month
- Group Captain: ₹1,30,600 – ₹2,15,900 per month
- Air Commodore: ₹1,39,600 – ₹2,17,600 per month
- Air Vice Marshal: ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200 per month
- Air Marshal (HAG Scale): ₹1,82,200 – ₹2,24,100 per month
- HAG+ Scale: ₹2,05,400 – ₹2,24,400 per month
- VCAS/Air Marshal (NFSG): ₹2,25,000 per month
- CAS: ₹2,50,000 per month
Exam Pattern (AFCAT 2 Exam 2026)
- Total Marks: 300
- Time Duration: 2 hours
- Negative Marking: Deduction of 1 mark for each wrong answer
