With the aim of providing financial assistance to women, the West Bengal government Annapurna Bhandar Yojana Has started. Under this scheme, every month the eligible women 3000 rupees Financial assistance will be provided. The government has started the application process for the scheme and soon the first installment will also be sent to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari Officially launched the scheme during a program organized at the State Secretariat. According to the government this scheme 1 June 2026 and will come into effect from 3 June 2026 The first installment will be transferred to the accounts of the beneficiary women.
The old plan will continue for now
The government has made it clear that the new scheme is already underway until it is fully implemented. Lakshmi Bhandar Yojana Will not stop. The beneficiaries of the old scheme will be transferred to the new scheme after the verification and enrollment process of the beneficiaries is completed.
The government says that due to this, women will not face any problem in getting financial assistance.
You can apply both online and offline
The application process for Annapurna Bhandar Yojana has been made easy. Women will be able to apply through both online and offline means.
Application forms have been made available on the state government website. Apart from this, the application process will also be conducted in villages and cities with the help of administrative officers.
according to the government Applications will be accepted for the next 90 days from June 1.. Officials have said that people do not need to rush.
Application process will reach every home
The government has made special arrangements to extend the benefits of the scheme to as many people as possible. Officials associated with Panchayat, Municipal bodies and administrative departments will also go door-to-door and help in filling the application forms.
This will also provide convenience to those women who are not able to apply online.
Old beneficiaries will be verified
The government has informed that the current beneficiaries will be re-verified. Its objective is to extend the benefits of the scheme only to eligible women.
The government claims that during the investigation, some names have come to light which can be removed from the list through the verification process. After this the final beneficiary list will be prepared.
Who will not be able to take advantage of the scheme?
The government has clarified that Women coming under the income tax bracket will not get the benefit of this scheme. Financially needy and eligible women will be given priority.
Apart from this, new applicants will also be able to apply for the scheme.
