There is good news for the youth preparing for government jobs in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has released the official notification for recruitment to various Group-C posts including Junior Assistant and Stenographer. A total of 398 vacant posts will be filled under this recruitment drive.
Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply online from 22 June 2026. The application process will continue till July 6, 2026. At the same time, if there is any mistake in the application form, the candidates will also be given the opportunity to make corrections from July 8 to July 10, 2026.

- Junior Assistant (Civil Court) – 230 posts
- Junior Assistant (Family Court) – 29 posts
- Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistant – 128 posts
- Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistant (Family Court) – 11 Posts
Including all these posts, a total of 398 vacancies will be filled.
age limit
To apply for recruitment, the minimum age of the candidate has been fixed at 21 years and maximum age at 35 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per rules.
Educational qualification
It is mandatory for the candidate to have a graduation degree from a recognized university. Besides, knowledge of Hindi language is also necessary.
For Junior Assistant post, the candidate should have good knowledge of computer and at least 25 words per minute in Hindi typing speed.
Whereas for the post of Stenographer, speed of 80 words per minute in Hindi shorthand and 25 words per minute in computer typing is mandatory.
exam pattern
As part of the selection process, candidates will have to go through written examination and skill test.
In the written examination, multiple choice questions related to General Knowledge and General Studies will be asked. The exam will be of total 140 marks and its duration has been fixed at 2 hours 30 minutes.
After this, typing and shorthand examination of 60 marks will be conducted.
